Taking advantage of Covid containment

"Don't put off until tomorrow what you can do today". We all know this old adage, and we're all aware that we don't always have the time to apply it. So we pile up the little things we have to do, and try as best we can to manage our priorities. The exceptional situation we're currently facing, with the confinement of ⅓ of the world's population to fight and contain the COVID 19 pandemic, frees up some of our time.

You can " like " the Moulin du Boisset!

At the Moulin du Boisset, we like to keep you informed, help you discover new things, or simply keep in touch with you. That's what this blog is all about. But that wasn't enough. That's why, as soon as we opened our guest house, we created a Facebook page and an Instagram account. On these different media, you can follow the regular news of the Moulin and its surroundings through our publications, our photos, our discoveries, our favourites...

In the sky over Rocamadour

Every last weekend in September, the Rocamadour sky is decked out in a multitude of colours as the summer tourist season draws to a close with a wealth of cultural events.

Every year, the "Montgolfiades de Rocamadour" take place in the skies above Rocamadour, attracting huge crowds of visitors from far and wide.

Quiet! Quiet! We're shooting...

Did you know that our region has often attracted many directors to shoot part or all of a film in a natural setting? I can tell you that Cahors has been used as a location for films such as "Un amour de sorcière" by René Manzor, starring Jean Reno and Vanessa Paradis, and "Jeanne d'Arc" by Luc Besson, starring Milla Jovovich. Actress Juliette Binoche has once filmed in the Lot. It was for André Téchiné's film "Alice et Martin" (1998), with Mathieu Amalric and Roshdy Zem.

Closer to the Moulin du Boisset, in our little commune of Saint-Denis-Lès-Martel, scenes from a superb film were shot. In 2003, Jean Becker filmed parts of his "Effroyables jardins" around the station, with a dream cast including Jacques Villeret, André Dussolier, Thierry Lhermitte , Benoit Magimel, Isabelle Candelier, Suzanne Flon... Synopsis: Lucien, a fourteen-year-old teenager, doesn't understand why his father, a serious and respected teacher, makes a fool of himself in an amateur clown act. One day, André, his father's best friend, reveals the origin of this vocation...
