The Moulin du Boisset Guestbook

The Moulin du Boisset is the kind of establishment we like to come back to.
Very friendly and helpful staff.
We stayed in the Chambre Royale (suite), with a stone wall, which was impeccably clean.
What can we say about the barbecue next to the pool and the magnificent setting, or the gargantuan home-cooked breakfast?
Our only regret was not booking an extra night. Thanks again to our hosts for their kindness and maybe we'll see you again soon.

Summer weekend at the Moulin

Magnificent building, ideally situated close to Martel (5 mins) and other villages and attractions typical of the region.
The room we had in the tower, recently renovated with great taste and modernity, was spacious and very pleasant.
Copious home-cooked breakfast. The hosts were very friendly, very attentive and gave very good advice on restaurants and activities in the area.
Add to that a beautiful swimming pool and a very large garden, and you have a more than successful stay!

Valérie and Patrick are friendly, welcoming and always available, breakfasts are carefully prepared and delicious, the mill is superb with its swimming pool and beautiful garden, in a peaceful setting, the rooms are beautiful and very clean, ideally situated in the centre of a beautiful region.

A magnificent region, charming accommodation set in a large park with swimming pool and jacuzzi, a gargantuan breakfast with fresh produce prepared on site.

First of all, an excellent, warm welcome, an exceptionally beautiful gîte, tastefully decorated rooms and impeccable cleanliness. Unforgettable, hearty breakfasts to get everyone off to an excellent start. A wonderful opportunity to discover a region rich in cultural attractions. Highly recommended, of course.

A palace in the countryside

We liked: Everything ... the huge room with views on both sides (red room), the pool with barbecue and cooking facilities, a huge garden with a wide variety of trees. The tranquillity of the place and the good work of the owners. Many places to visit within a few kilometres. The house is impressive, as is the breakfast, which consists mainly of home-made products (jams, confectionery, bread), fresh fruit juice, etc. A wonderful stay

Superb house in a region rich in discoveries

The setting is truly magnificent, in a superbly restored mill. The breakfast is copious and very convivial. The rooms are clean and very well appointed. The swimming pool and summer kitchen are great places to relax and enjoy yourself. And the icing on the cake: our hosts, Valérie and Patrick, are very friendly and full of good advice for visiting the region, which is full of beautiful little villages and picturesque spots.

Many thanks to Patrick and Valérie for their availability and their excellent advice on visiting the region. We had a very pleasant stay in this charming and peaceful accommodation with the adjoining park and the large swimming pool to relax in. When we woke up, breakfast was waiting for us with homemade jams and cakes and fresh figs from the garden. A top stay in a region that deserves to be discovered!

The hosts gave us excellent advice on how best to spend our time and see the most beautiful sites in the area. We would of course love to stay there next time we are in the Dordogne.

The hosts were fantastic, excellent at providing lots of information on things to do and see, very welcoming. The room was a wonder, a lovely place to relax and beautifully decorated. The pool area and outdoor kitchen are a bonus as everything is very good quality and well thought out to make your stay a relaxing holiday....
We enjoyed our stay immensely. Breakfast was a treat with homemade jams, cakes and berries with fresh cheese and of course plenty of coffee, fresh orange juice, bread etc.
We really enjoyed our stay and have no negative comments.

Everything is in order and the setting is magnificent in this former mill, now a manor house with every comfort, a swimming pool and even a kitchen open to guests.

The only small problem is that breakfast starts at 9am. I find this too late and would prefer it to start at 8am.
Then you have more time to go sightseeing or get back on the road for another destination.

A perfect stay from every point of view. Wonderful, relaxing setting, irreproachable room and bathroom, breakfasts presented with great care and refinement. Not forgetting the conversations with Patrick, Valerie and their very charming hosts.

A perfect welcome, a large, quiet and superbly maintained site, the kindness of the hosts who are always on hand to offer advice.
The house is just superb, with plenty of room for parking. Small producers nearby, as are the tourist sites. I'll be back as soon as I get the chance...

We had a very pleasant stay with Valérie and Patrick. From the warm and smiling welcome to the copious breakfast made with good home-made products (milk jam with walnut liqueur and fig tart!!) and the comfort of the room, everything was there to make us remember our short stay at the mill with pleasure.

We appreciated Patrick and Valérie's kindness, their sound advice on the many things to do and visit in the region, the breakfast table, the peace and quiet of the property, the swimming pool and the use of the summer kitchen, which means we can eat in if we don't feel like (re-)going out to eat.

Perfect in every way, from the welcome to the professionalism ... they were very good at explaining what to see and do, better than the tourist sites and tourist office ... copious breakfast ... very clean room, not to mention the decor and a full outdoor kitchen available ... an exceptional stone building ... we'll be back for sure!

A real favourite in the Lot. Magnificent estate ideally located close to some of the "most beautiful villages in France", natural sights, discoveries and nature. Outdoor area with swimming pool, jacuzzi, very clean kitchen including everything you need, surrounded by a magnificent park with trees and flowers, impeccably maintained. The interior decoration, including the superb bedrooms, is magnificent, reflecting the originality and marked taste of the owners. The bedding is extremely comfortable, and the tower room, which was ours, was perfectly airy despite the heatwave. Breakfast is excellent, with homemade products on a daily basis and, above all, the smiles of our hosts - what a pleasure it is to see them again every morning and to share their experiences and in-depth knowledge of the region. Thank you very much Valérie and Patrick, our stay was an enchantment of every moment.

A little corner of paradise where you can unwind!
The gîte for 2/3 people is perfect: well-equipped, very clean and comfortable, and the private terrace in the large grounds is a real treat! The pool area is very well maintained and very pleasant. We loved staying here to explore the Dordogne and Lot

Patrick and Valerie work very hard to look after their guests . Their suggestions for itineraries are spot on. Valerie does home made baking each morning .Theroom was so spacious and comfortable ( we had the tower) that once we had settled in we didn’t want to leave. The pool area and large garden are beautifully kept ,we enjoyed the drive intoMartel for dinner in the various restaurants around the town square so we didn’t use the well appointed Outdoor cooking and dining area despite every intention of doing so. the region is full of beautiful produce .

Perfect place to relax or as a base to visit the area.

Beautiful location and very helpful hosts. Everything was spotlessly clean and the breakfast always very fresh and plentiful. There are many places to visit in the area if you want to tour round or alternatively if you want to laze by the pool it is quiet and well maintained. On our list to visit again some time.

A magnificent building in a green setting
A very pleasant welcome, Valérie and Patrick made us feel at home.
The breakfast is delicious and complete, enough to take you on a tour of the surrounding villages and châteaux.
Our room in the tower was magnificent
Super swimming pool with the option of having a meal if you don't want to move (fridge, hob, etc.)
The listed village of Martel is 10 minutes away and has some great places to eat.
All this to say that we will recommend this address!

Wonderful hosts in a magnificent house

The old mill has been beautifully restored, and the large garden, plus a small park, invites you to linger. At breakfast in the morning, you meet the other guests and exchange ideas about what you have experienced. Patrick and Valerie know the area well, give advice without being intrusive, prepare an excellent breakfast and otherwise keep the house and garden tidy. It feels like a family reunion, not a small guesthouse. The few rooms are individually and comfortably furnished. The room with the fireplace, where we had breakfast together at the round table, is very comfortable. The outdoor kitchen by the pool is the gathering point for guests, where we can end the day together. A dream holiday!
