Who are we?

We lived and worked in Nantes for nearly 30 years. However, having grown tired of our careers and wanting to escape the stress of city life, we decided in 2014 to make a fresh start.
We had had the chance to meet some wonderful people during our stays in guesthouses. We were won over by the concept and decided to embark on the adventure ourselves.

After more than a year of searching in various regions, we visited the Moulin du Boisset. It was love at first sight! The charm and authenticity of this magnificent building won us over immediately. Six months later, in March 2015, we settled in this beautiful spot, right in the heart of the Dordogne Lotoise Valley.

The mill, which had been uninhabited for several months and was certainly not suited to the business, required some interior and exterior refurbishment. After a year of work, we began welcoming our first guests in early summer 2016.
And we discovered this magnificent region that we knew little about. But above all, we discovered the warmth, the sense of community, the authenticity and a way of life, a state of mind!

Today, 10 years on, we take great pleasure in welcoming you, helping you discover our magnificent region, listening to your needs and, above all, sharing pleasant moments with you.

Our approach to guest rooms

For us, running a guesthouse is all about warmth, conversation and respect, and it gives our guests the chance to discover our way of life in this magnificent region.

We place great importance on upholding the true spirit of a guesthouse:

- You are welcomed into our home. We open the doors of our home to you. We know how to be discreet when necessary and attentive when the time is right. In return, we expect our guests to respect our environment and the facilities we provide.

- We are available and will do everything we can to make your stay as pleasant as possible,

- Our room rates include breakfast. This is mandatory in a guesthouse. And for us, breakfast is above all a time for conversation, to get the day off to a good start.

- You have access to communal areas where you can enjoy each other’s company whilst respecting everyone’s privacy.

- Last but not least, we are at your disposal to introduce you to our beautiful region or to put together itineraries for your visits.
