Winter's charms
Unlike at the end of the summer, when a simple drip trickles down, this time the waterfall is pouring out streams of water. The frost has created stalactites of ice in places, reminding us of the coldness of winter. This deep spot is in the shade, and to warm up we decide to continue our hike towards the "Chateau des Anglais", halfway up the cliff and completely sunny. After a few minutes' climb, we arrived at the entrance to the ruins of this observation post dating back to the 100-year war between the English and the French. No doubt from here, brave warriors had an unobstructed view of the region and the enemy troops. The view is breathtaking: to our right, the castle, to our left the waterfall, and opposite, below, the village of Autoire... Once again, we will leave this place totally amazed by the scenery it offers, with a particular feature today, a string of ice stalactites hanging from the cliffs...
